Hi everyone! I’m Mitsi, a native Japanese speaker born and raised in Japan.
I have taught students from age two to adults, both in Japan and the United States. While living in Japan for six years, I worked as an instructor at a franchise English school for children, where I was ranked among the top five instructors out of over 700 classrooms in Kanagawa Prefecture, next to Tokyo.
As a mother of three children raised in both Japan and the U.S., I deeply understand how to support learners and families from a global perspective.I am originally from Matsue City in Shimane Prefecture—a small, quiet, and traditional area known as Izumo, rich in history and culture. My family runs a traditional Japanese confectionery (wagashi) shop with over 130 years of history, and traditional Japanese culture is an important part of who I am.Later in my career, I worked as a flight attendant with Japan Airlines, traveling extensively around the world. This experience helped shape my clear, polished, and professional Japanese communication style.Through Japanese language learning, I hope to share all of these experiences with my students—not only studying the language itself, but also enjoying meaningful cultural exchange together.
